We have a Recycling Event coming up at the West LA Tzu Chi Office:

Date: Saturday, February 6, 2010
Time: 9:00am-11:00 am
Rides: will be provided at 8:30 AM. Location(s) TBA.

Please bring the following items if you have them: white paper (used on both sides), old newspapers, empty water bottles and soda cans (washed). If you have a large volume of recyclables, please let us know and we will pick them up before the event. No worries if you do not have any of the aforementioned items. You are still more than welcome to attend! In addition, we might also have a lunch social afterward, for those who are interested!

Our Beach Cleaning event will be on Saturday January 23, 2010 from 2-5 PM. Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes to this event. We would also like to remind you to bring a jacket (as it may get cold), sun block, your Bruincard and $0.50 for the bus ($0.25 each way).

We will meet at Ackerman Turnaround at 2 PM to take the Big Blue Bus (#2) to Venice Beach.

Hey guys!

Thanks to everyone who came to Turning Point last Saturday! We have our quarterly food bank event coming up this Saturday, November 14th.

Time: 8 AM -12 PM
Place: 1734 E. 41st Street; Los Angeles, CA

For those of you who need a ride, please be ready around 7:15 AM. More information will be given later on in the week to those who need rides. Please wear closed-toed shoes to the event. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP  by this Thursday night 11/12, 8 PM.

Our quarterly Turning Point activity will take place this coming Saturday, November 7. We will be cooking food and providing entertainment for the residents of the Turning Point Transitional Home!
